Our service ambition

Our focus is first and foremost on ensuring the quality of in-station services - the quality of the spaces, the environment, the shops and all the services we offer our customers and clients.This is the main priority for Gares & Connexions. It may seem like an ambitious goal, but we intend to improve the quality of all stations, both small local stops and big European network stations. Apart from passengers, our clients are basically railway and road transport companies, regional transport authorities and elected officials.

10 service commitments

Our objective is to create functional, comprehensible stations that are well-connected to their town or city. Our 10 service commitments apply to every one of our 3000 stations. Your train will be easy to find; you will find information on in-station services; you will be able to change mode of transport easily; you will be kept informed of disruptions; you will easily be able to find your way around the station; your station will be clean and tidy; you will have access to clean toilets; you will find the shops you need to make life easier; you will wait in comfortable waiting areas; you will feel safe in the station - these are the 10 service commitments that we promise to deliver.

10 commitments for 3 000 stations

The level at which these 10 commitments are implemented will depend on whether you're in a big European network station or a small local stop. For example with the first promise - at a small local station, information will be posted on a simple display board. At a big station, it will not only be displayed, but passengers will also be able to find directions, signs in three languages, a multi-lingual member of staff and more...

Creating and accreditation scheme

Gares & Connexions has created an accreditation scheme, so that stations achieving a satisfactory level in all ten commitments are awarded a service mark. This accreditation scheme will be rolled out gradually as station managers survey their stations and implement their action plans.

Tell us your views

Gares & Connexions is preparing tools that will give us a live measure of customer satisfaction. Customers will be able to tell us about the service they have received in-station and their opinions on a daily basis with a simple text message. We will reply on the web via an FAQ page.
